(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello Guys, I built my PC almost two years ago now and I feel as if I want to upgrade.

SPECS:

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H (I kinda went cheap on the Motherboard, I know.)
CPU - Intel i7 3770k
GPU - ASUS GTX 780 (Unfortunately, I mistakenly bought the ASUS version of the reference card rather than the EVGA)
PSU - Corsair HX850 Watt Gold Certified
RAM - 8GB Corsair Vengeance
Cooler - Corsair H100i
Case - Cooler Master HAF X

The PC still runs great. I mostly want to either buy a 980 or get another 780 for SLI. I just don't like the small amount of VRAM that the 780 has.

Can you guys help me choose what I should do. Should I stay with my current build for a while longer or save up some money for an upgrade?

Depends what you're doing right now that fine so I would save up.
Without some extra details hard to decide Smile

Maggbot timeout!
If your looking to go full eye candy with no lag, even at 1080p sure why not!
GTA V is going to be a very demanding GPU based game, so even at 1080p or 1440p, your gonna want to flex some muscle.

I have a set of GTX 780 Ti 's in SLI I just swapped out for a set of GTX 980's in SLI, now that was not needed to be upgraded, but I did it anyway.

I have 2 780 Ti's if anyone is interested.

Good luck with your build

You spent $1000 for 1gb of vram? Sounds like a solid financial upgrade

it's more then just 1 gb, they also run very efficient.
The 780's pull about 260 watts each underload, were as the 980's about 160ea,less power, less heat and among other things, I like to have the latest and greatest stuff so I am always moving, I don't invest money in computers, I invest in the stock and real-estate market .

You sound like my accountant now.

Still not a worthy upgrade and the 980s arent all that efficient they literally pull a whole 20 fucking watts less then 290x, 780s in benchmarks
