(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});I started off my build aiming to be a budget gaming pc to play some older games on like Call of Duty 4, which it was fine for (~60fps on max settings), but recently I've started playing newer games and I'd like to buy a GPU without replacing the rest of my computer.
Can anyone suggest a suitable graphics card, as I'm unsure if I should risk continuing the 'budget' build idea and get a R7 250 to crossfire / dual graphics OR go all out and invest into a standalone card that doesn't need more power than I currently have. Suggestions please?

Try a gtx 960. It should be enough for that small psu but fast enough to get the job done
If I go for something like this, You must login or register to view this content., how much power does it actually need?
It says 400 wattage on the Amazon page but elsewhere I'm seeing different figures, 400+the Apu will be more than my psu...

400w is way high for it, look up some benchmarks and compare. It should be under 100w all day.

Sorry for all the questions.
Is it worth me spending an extra ~£50 to get 4GB vram rather than the 2GB? And should I look for a certain brand eg. EVGA seem to have great reviews...

Thanks for the help.
At 1080p 2gb will suffice. The choking point is the memory bandwidth not the vram

Thanks
270x is another good choice or 960 I would move towards the 270x.

I've pretty much decided that I'm going to be getting the GTX 960 by EVGA (linked above) as the GTX960's have great ratings on the benchmarks and that's the lowest price that cards been (according to CamelCamelCamel's Amazon price checker). I'm going to order it once I finish work today
