The FX-8350 is not going to have that much improvement over the FX-6300 when it comes to gaming. If you ignore this and still decide to upgrade the CPU, at least get the FX-8320. The FX-8320 is the same thing as the FX-8350. The FX-8350 is just an overclocked FX-8320. AMD overclocks the FX-8320 to 4.0 GHz, give it a different model number, and slaps on a higher price tag, then ships it out to retailers. You can get a FX-8320, overclock to 4.0 GHz and it'll be the same exact thing as a FX-8350.

16GB is absolutely unnecessary for gaming. I highly doubt you even use all of your current 8GB RAM.

With the money you save by staying with a FX-6300 and 8GB of RAM, you have more money to spend on the GPU. Get a R9 390, then you can play GTA V on ultra. If you get a FX-8350, 16GB RAM, and a R9 270X, you'll be playing GTA V on medium-high settings.

Keep the 8GB RAM. There is no need to upgrade this. RAM IS NOT holding you back in gaming.

FX-8320, R9 390, new PSU.
