From what I can gather, the HP Pavilion A17000N used AMD processors. Therefore the answer to your question is no. The Intel processor won't even fit in the AM2 socket that Asus used in the A8M2N-LA motherboard which is present in that particular HP.

Rath nailed it on the head, your CPU needs a matching socket to the motherboard so they fit into eachother and can communicate with eachother so you are out of luck.
I'm just going to move this to PC builds do anyone with a similar question sees this and close it away as I can't see much more discussion beyond a rough no going on with it haha; if there is anything else related to your CPU I can just re open this for you at your command, thanks and have a good one.
