right now I'm looking at an r7 250, which will run me around $100 (AUD).
I have a budget of around $200 (AUD)

250 gunna have a bad time. look in local classifieds for like a gtx 670 or a 760. or amd equivelent is a 7950 or a 280/270 and 7870

Might wanna check out craigslist or w.e the equivelent for you is. Hell even ebay might be a decent resource.
As toke said it might be tough because of where you are.

I looked around on Ebay and I only found some things from China. If I were you I'd just save up a bit more for a gtx 960.
