1. First of all download the file required to hack the psp.

2. Connect your psp to your computer using the usb cable. (make sure to remember what drive your psp is connected to!). Now unzip the folder you downloaded and click on the go.bat file, here you'll need to enter the drive letter that your psp is connected to and follow the prompts. The batch file will copy all the required files in to the right locations.

3. Important to note is that your PSP needs to be running PSP "Firmware 5.03". In order to find out what firmware version your PSP is running: go to the settings menu on your PSP, then scroll down to system settings, then click on system information. Your firmware version should be shown here.
(If you are not running PSP Firmware 5.03, update by going to the game menu, and click on the memory and then run the 5.03 update. Follow the on screen prompts to install the 5.03 firmware)

4. When you have the right firmware 5.03 running, go to the photo menu. Here select the memory card and press X . (You should now see a ChickHEN folder) Click X again. Now as soon as the next screen appears hold down the left down button until you get to the bottom picture. If your PSP powers off you need to turn your PSP back on and repeat step 4. (It can take a couple of goes to get this right!) You will know the HEN is loaded correctly when your PSP restarts by its self.

To make sure the HEN is loaded correctly, go to the settings menu on ur PSP and scroll to the system settings... Click on the system information. Now your firmware version should read "5.03 Chickhen R2". If this is whats written here then you are ready to enjoy homebrew!! Smile

But beware as soon as you turn your PSP off you will need to repeat step 4!!

[Can it break my PSP?]
ChickHEN works differently to all previous HEN's. Instead of flashing to flash0, it resides entirely in RAM to prevent any damage to the system. Sure enough, you can run applications in HEN to flash stuff but I strongly recommend against it. ChickHEN comes with no warrenty, no guanantee and you run this software under your own responsibility.

As stated, HEN comes with no warrenty, and this software should not be used in conjunction with homebrew which can countervent any copyright laws.

Im higher than 5.03, im 5.13.
