There had been a rumour about the blue light of death, I myself have a vita and got the blue light of death although the vita does not die. My vita was fully charged, the screen turned black and the blue light on the PS button was blue and would not turn off , you cannot turn the vita on, you cannot turn the blue light off. But you can reset your vita which turns it off then straight on again to the recovery menu, nothing is lost everything you had on there before games ect including download content is still on your vita.


If you get the blue light of death all you need to do is follow these instructions ....

Hold the power button & PS button for 30 seconds

If this does not work then Hold the power button,PS button & R button for 60 seconds


Your vita should restart and the recovery menu should appear, Choose the first option.



I have had my vita now for just over 4 months and I think it is 100 percent worth its money and would recommend it to everyone. Not only is it a great product but the uncharted game that you can purchase with it or separately is one of the best uncharted games I have played out of all of the uncharted games produced.

nice post when my vita gets the blue light i just wait for it to die and put back on charge. but if you dont power up your vita then its a 50/50 you will get the blue light of dead cause you have over heated the vita so make sure you keep your vita power up when you are charging it
