Sony have announced the PlayStation Vita TV which is a small device measuring 6cm x 10cm which launches in Japan on November 14, 2013. The idea of PS Vita TV is to let you play Vita games on the big screen using a DualShock 3 controller, but there’s actually more to it than that.
Measures 6cm by 10cm
Lets you play Vita games on your television
Uses a DualShock 3 controller and a DualShock 4 at a later date
Card slot for Vita games, and accepts Vita memory cards
Let you use video streaming services (such as Hulu)
Let you play PSone Classics and PSP games through it
Connects to PlayStation 4 so that you can play Vita games through PS4
Launches in Japan on November 14, 2013 and will cost 9,480 Yen ($95)
Version with a 8 gig Vita memory card and a DualShock 3 controller will cost 14,980 ($150)
I'm definitely going to be getting this, especially for the RPG's & it having ps4 functionality aswell is even better, cant wait for this, i'm suspecting it wont be over $200.
edit: $150 with 8GB memory is not bad, will just buy it solo & install my 32GB card instead. :p
was gonna post this here earlier but it envolves the ps4 quite abit so posted it up there xD
its good though i may look into it
think ill be getting my self one, does this mean people wont need a vita at all really. i dont know how much vitas are in the us, but it seems a cheaper way to go than actually owning a vita

it only works in the range of the signal i would of thought, but the vita works over wifi so you can take it on your travels. people i suppose wouldnt really need it if they only intend on playing ps4 but if you like to game on the move then you'd need a vita

True i can't wait to see how remote play will work, I seen the Japanese girl in the trailer take the vita to school/college, and continue killzone instantly.

It seems like my money was wasted on the vita if they basically just made a 95$ version of the damn thing. Portability is nice don't get me wrong but i feel as if sony made the vita for a quick 200$'s.

how exactly? not like you can use the ps vita tv on the bus or generally when you're out and about
Well to be honest i got the vita a few months after it came out, i bought silent hill, black ops declassified, gravity rush, uncharted, and much more and after the launch titles died down it seems sony hasn't support the vita at all. I have waited for games that are actually decent to come out and all they have are indie games that have less than 10 hours of play time. I figured they would just you know support it with PS4 but from the looks of it they just made the vita tv and i expect them to not give the vita the same things the vita tv will get. Its feels like sony doesn't care for the vita that is my opinion. (I do love the vita and all it just needs more games...)
