Post: PS Vita Slim or Original?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, for Christmas, I wanted to ask my parents for a Vita, since the price drop has made it more worth the money...
But I heard the PSV slim came out in Japan, and is on eBay for just an extra $50, so I'm thinking about buying it off of there.

So, the screen change doesn't really bother me that much, as I've never experienced the OLED original one anyway.

Would getting the slim be worth it or should I just go with the original?

And another question, would the original Vita's accessories fit the slim ones? Can find that info out anywhere...

in my opinion i like the PS vita fat better, slim is harder to grip and more prone to hand cramps.

The slim looks a lot nicer, but as napster said, It would be uncomfortable for the hand

I've gotten hand cramps even with the current Vita, so I just bought a controller grip. I imagine some company will sell the same for the new one which can help make the new Vita more comfortable to hold (although it kinda defeats the purpose of buying a thiner version if you're adding to it). As for accessories, it would depend which accessories (I'm guessing it won't fit well in the old grips and I read that it is using a micro-USB now, so some old cables/chargers might not plug in, but I didn't read if doesn't also have the original cable port).

get the original bro.My gf has the new slim one and I the fat one. While playing uncharted and ACL I can clearly see the level of crispiness on my vita where as hers doesn't look that good..
Plus she feels more comfortable holding my fatty one than hers

Personally I prefer the original vita. I think it really depends on the size of your hands. And the OLED definitely does the Vita justice.

I think personally that the original one is the better variant out of the two Sony has released. It seems to me the second version feels cheap, Somy cut corners on the new model, there isn't any major hardware modifications made except the onboard storage being expanded and the screen technology change which some people view as a downgrade from OLED to LCD thus it's a bargain to grab the original model.
