As rumored before, The Playstation Store updates have been confirmed to be moved to Tuesdays starting May 4th. This was confirmed on The Pulse, a preview video offered on the PS Store. This will make the store update on par with the Xbox L!VE Marketplace update which occurs every Tuesday.

This only applies to US Stores, and the UK store updates will be moved to Wednesday, May 5th.

This rumor was slightly confirmed before this when Robert Bowling, aka FourZeroTwo, tweeted that the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Map Pack would be released on May 4th for North America, and May 5th for UK users.

Updates have been on Tuesdays for a while now...

^That was probably for the GTA DLC.
Anyways, I havn't received any updates on Tuesdays yet, excluding the GTA DLC.

it doesn't really bother me I hardly ever download from PSN.

Updates have always been on Thursdays.

I think it's a good idea.

Here in the US EVERY Tuesday is something called "New Release Day", which means that all the new movies, music, and games come out to Retail Shelves on Tuesdays (with some exceptions here and there...Twilight ¬.¬). SO I think it's a great idea.

Now when I get my new movies from work (Walmart), I can come home and get new PSN content on the same day. =]

This makes more sense, as, like Edge said, Tuesday is the most common New Release Day here in the United States from what I've seen over the years.

Won't make much of a difference for me, though, as I only download things from the Playstation Store on occasion when something comes out that I really would like to have, which is very rare.

We get Wednesday, I don't think anything new comes out on Wednesdays over here
