[ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArEJKqZwNiE]YouTube - CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS TRAILER!!!! REAL!! WORLD PREMIER[/ame]

Ok so of course within the trailer was Vietnam and I think that everyone knew that it was going to be in the game.

a possible Cuban connection is equally as obvious. President John F. Kennedy authorized an ill-conceived invasion of Cuba in the spring of 1961, one that failed to achieve any of its objectives, and nearly caused a greater conflict (as well as acting as a harbinger of things to come with the communist world). Perhaps Black Ops will include a portion where players assume the role of a member of the invasion force coming over from Florida?

Well to be honest I didn't know about the Cuba thing that may be because I have probably thee absolute worst History teacher ever. It will be cool to know what this is all about.

What remains elusive, however, is any conflict that accounts for the appearance of snow. What encounter could have happened in a snow-ravaged setting, at least one involving the United States in the post-World War II era? Or are we assuming too much by thinking only Americans will be involved in the storyline of Black Ops? A careful analysis of the footage could lead you down either path.

well maybe they aren't going to follow America the whole time in this game to maybe please other people that aren't American. Although they could just as easily be breaking history and slinging there own B/s

later on in the video we see a missile being launched and now I wonder are they launching a missile at the Soviet Union because that is what the Cold War is about although there was no battles in the Cold War. Maybe they are shooting a missile at Vietnam like Nixon's advisors recommended

But who is this detained man that we see going in and out of consciousness? One of the slightly more creative theories is that it's actually Soap McTavish from Modern Warfare 2. If you remember, Soap sustained life-threatening wounds in the final battle of MW2. The final line of dialogue is Nikolai saying he, "knows a place" where they can treat Soaps wounds. Perhaps under the care of this mysterious voice that we hear echoing throughout the Black Ops trailer? Could this voice belong to some sort of mad scientist looking to extract Soap's memory of some significant event from Vietnam that will give him the key to achieving his twisted and assuredly maniacal goals? Or to find, perhaps, the location of nuclear missiles that were never actually removed from Cuban soil during the missile crisis of the early '60s?

Well if they are trying to put together Soup and Vietnam then no it is clearly not possible at all because he is way way to young remember he was a rookie in CoD4 so that eliminates that theory. Unless of course they are taking it from Cuba but even still Mw2 ended in Afghanistan not Cuba

Really anything is possible but wait aren't we missing something here?

Where is the Zombies everyone was looking for although they weren't in the 1st trailer I wouldn't doubt to see them in one to come in the future say a month or two.

Sorry I haven't done much News lately I just recently got busy

I forgot to mention a ready comment said: Maybe they are trying to get the memories from Soap's grandpa because maybe he fought in the Vietnam War

Koho, some Cuba information for you. It was a missile crisis between the Soviet Union and the U.S.A during the cold war. U.S.A had missiles in Turkey etc and Soviet Union felt threatened so they decided to place them in Cuba, then American got pissed and told them to get rid off them or they would destroy them all, this argument continued they both removed the missile sites and U.S.A imposed a trade ban on Cuba.

I am error
Another point few have touched on is the SR-71 Blackbird.
Its first flights arguably occurred between '60-'64 or even earlier.
Remember, that plane still has several specs. kept from the public - There are certain instruments in the cockpit that are blacked out/removed when on public display.
It was about 50+ years ahead of its time.
If you wanted to be a pilot for a SR-71, there was only 1 requirement - you be married!
So the SR-71 really limits the time frame, as it is no longer in service - as far as we know.
Its service was officially from 1966-1998

oh, and i wanted to add: it the SR-71 could not get shot down... it could and still could outrun anti-air missiles (also it fly's so high and with its stealth design). The engines were also never used to their maximum power...
