Crysis [1], being one of the most visually stunning titles for PC, quickly became a game primarily console gamers wanted to get their hands on. Crysis 2 has fulfilled that want, bringing Crysis 2 not only to computers, but to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
Will Crysis 2 be just as visually stunning as its predecessor? Well, it's about time that we begin to answer that question.
Crysis 2 - First Look (TVG) -- New York, one of the most well known cities nation-wide, and world-wide, is just something that is so eye-catching to watch fall apart. With the horrible incident that is 9/11 still in the back of our minds, watching New York fall to pieces in movies and video games alike both brings back fearful memories, and sensation all at the same time, making for an experience that can really draw the viewer / player in.
Crysis 2 isn't falling short in following this trend. Taking place three years after its predecessor, Crysis 2 takes place in a collapsing New York City, recently overrun by some alien life-form. The goal of the aliens isn't to destroy the city, though, but more so to turn it into their "personal hive". Chances are this game will be focused more so in driving enemies out of New York City, as opposed to in many games where aliens play the role of the antagonists, where the goal is to escape.

For those of you who felt the gameplay in Crysis was a bit off, Crysis 2 might just fix those issues. Like with any first try at a series, you can never expect them to create the perfect formula of gameplay. It is common for the first game of a series to focus too much on one aspect, while focusing too little on another. This is something developers do indeed know, and it is something they are looking to perfect this time around.
It has also come to the attention of developers that people began to develop different playing styles in Crysis [1]. Some people liked to take the stealth role, others the brute role, and some people just liked to take the role of the common soldier trying to overcome the enemy threat. This has all been taken into account by developers. This leads me to imply that there will be more freedom in the way you do things this time around, allowing people to truly enjoy their preferred playing style. On top of this, there will be further customization available, allowing people to enhance certain parts of their nanosuit, to improve certain capabilities that go along with their playing style of choice.

Unfortunately, if you haven't caught on by now, there won't be any new abilities for the nanosuit this time around, due to the increased focus on perfecting that of which was in Crysis [1]. It's without a doubt, however, that players will be able to get a more in depth experience of the nanosuit, which will likely make up for the lack of new capabilities.
Based on what has been heard about the demo, gameplay will be overall more enjoyable, and much more open. Simply because you prefer one playing style over the other does not mean you'll be unable to switch between playing styles. One minute you could be sniping, the next minute you could be sneaking up behind someone about to go in for the bare handed kill.

Crysis 2 is going to be a blast, that much is certain. With more freedom and customization than ever before, it will surely reach out to any lover of FPS titles, whether a close combat player, or long-range player.
