Activision has announced that James Bond will be returning to Consoles and PC's alike later this year (supposedly, could also possibly be in 2011). Featuring Daniel Craig the script will be written by the writer of Pierce Brosnan's Bond Escapades 'Goldeneye', 'Tomorrow Never Dies' and 'The World Is Not Enough'. He's no stranger to the video-game industry either, he's written the legendary James Bond 007: Everything Or Nothing and the somewhat unimpressive 'From Russia With Love'. However, I believe the From Russia With Love game is not badly written and is bad due to poor gameplay mechanics. This game will be based on an entirely new story never seen before and will be designed by 'Bizarre Creations'.

There have been some truly epic Bond Games in the past, including (at least in my own opinion) two of the best games ever created: James Bond 007: Nightfire, James Bond 007: Goldeneye and James Bond 007: Everything Or Nothing. It is confirmed that you will be able to take cover in-game and hand to hand combat will too, return. Treyarch's Quantum Of Solace was in some ways a disappointment and while many of us didn't enjoy it remotely I did enjoy the multiplayer. I am glad that Treyarch will not be designing this Bond Game since it will allow them both to focus on Black Ops and I think the 007 series needs a fresh studio. Bizarre are known to have created good racing games in the past such as 'Blur' and are no strangers to the shooter genre having created 'The Club'.
In this game, Daniel Craig will return. Interestingly enough, he will also return in the remake of Goldeneye this year. Judi Dench will feature as 'M' in game. A new soundtrack called 'I'll Take It All' will be performed by Joss Stone and Dave Stewart of Eurythmics.
Featuring 16 player online multiplayer pitting 'spies versus mercenaries' Bizarre tell us they will incorporate new and tactical gametypes. Quantum Of Solace certainly did feature some refreshing and brand new multiplayer modes and I expect we will see some of them return.
The game will release on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC and the Nintendo DS. Unlike last time, it will not make an appearance on the Nintendo Wii.

Good news, I love the James Bond games. I didn't have Goldeneye, but Nightfire was one of my favorite games ever made. Hopefully this one will be a bit more decent in single-player, but especially the multiplayer area. We could have only left it up to Treyarch to make shotguns so over-powered.

That is awesome. It looks really good. I have always been a fan of James Bond and have loved all the games. I can't wait till this comes out.
