Certain relationships end for weird reasons, but this article is on one a videogamer never wants to speak of. Relationships ending because of videogames.

Recent polls say that one in ten men dump their date to play videogames, when seven out of ten men annoy their partners by hanging with people online.

A spokesman for researcher One-Poll said, "It seems like a games console often means there are three people in a relationship. It's a bit sad if the virtual world is taking precedence over the real world."

Their are two solutions to this problem; either make videogames your job, so you have an excuse to play all the time; or, find your perfect someone, who plays videogames aswell. These might help you out in life.

My girlfriend is always on my back about playing video games. But I doubt we would leave each other because of video games. I could see it happening though in a lot of relationships.

Yeah it does happen.
If you really love someone, play videogames on your own time.
Spend some time with your soulmate. Winky Winky

I have been with my girlfriend for almost a month now. We both play video games from time to time, not once have we argued about playing too much or anything close to that subject. I don't understand why anyone would end a relationship over a videogame, unless your literally on it 24/7 and wont pay attention to your bf/gf. What people have to understand is, video games are like our only time to sit back, relax, and get away from our troubles in life. We don't want to be miserable because of someone telling us we can't play videogames.

Yeah, but the article is pretty much about people who are dependent on their videogame needs so much that they don't want to spend time with their loved ones. Videogames can be like Heroin.

Yeah, I balance out my PSN life and my real life. Of course, I spend more time with my girlfriend, but that's the "normal" thing to do. I wouldn't ignore ANYONE for my PS3, that's plain stupid. My girlfriend will hopefully get me farther in life than a video game so i'd rather be addicted to her haha!

Yeah, that could be the case; but if your girlfriend was a gamer, you'd most likely be one, too.

Nope it's not the video games that cause it. It's the people who play the games. If you can't control yourself then don't play.

Indeed, but it's the videogames that causes the people to act like that.
Therefore it is the videogames.
