when do i unlock endurance races and what kind of rewards do you get.

And my ps3 has started becoming hotter then usual recently i have it no were near a wall and its very well ventilated and its only 6 months old. I dont move it or fiddle about with things and i also bought a cooling fan but when i put my face to the back of the ps3 it smells funny and gets quite hot.

you haven't told us what model ur ps3 is(fat/slim?..brand new/secondhand?)
smells funny?..what kind of smell?..example : is it a plastic burning smell etc?...
more info would be helpful..

1. Assuming ur ps3 is a brand spankin new slim model :
the first few days of a brand new ps3 slim will emit a plastic burning kind of like smell due to the heat produced within the ps3's electronics and plastics.so yeah that's quite normal,and the smell will eventually fade away with time..
but if u get a continous(daily) plastic burning like smell,or the ps3 gets extremely hot,stop using it and get an exchange.(it's usually quicker to exchange it than to go through Sony support lol)

2. Assuming ur ps3 is a secondhand fat model :
mate,i don't think it's even worth gettin a fat ps3 anymore considering the problems people are having with software and hardware issues..
no warranty,and you'll never know when it's gonna kick the bucket(die).
so yeah,if u can afford to,get a slim ps3..if not,still,save up to get the slim

My fatty PS3 has been running for 4 days non stop and still work like champ!

I've done all the endurance up to the Suzuka 100k. There's no feeling like the one you get once you finally finish one of them.

Probably you just getting bored or tired when playing too long.. :smile:

True that... Ive done 3 of them and I absolutely hate it, but once I finished it was well worth it

I am running the last endurance event (Nurb 24hrs) for my B-Spec. Gonna stop playing for a while once finished to give my fatty PS3 some rest after running for long hours and days.

Endurance races on this game are for the strong willed that is for sure. I think I have gone through 3 or 4 of them and I am not looking forward to the 24 hour ones.
