Recently the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad have become massive devices in the gaming realm, and inevitably the AppleTV appears to be moving in that direction. New code uncovered in a beta firmware update has indicated that the device will have the functionality to host games.

According to Engadget, there are references in the new iOS 4.3 beta firmware to 'ATVGames' and 'ATVThunder'. The report also suggets that there is a high possibility of an online service being used to stream the games, as the AppleTV comes with as little as 8GB of storage.

This sounds cool! But I would rather just stick with my PS3 lol! I wonder what games they would have though if this did happen? Maybe this could start the future of gaming! Hope to see this happen soon! Thanks for the post = )
