INTRODUCTION
Crysis 2 is a modern marvel of graphical display and sophisticated gameplay. Welcome to the Nanosuit, welcome to New York in 2023, a city ravaged by an alien infestation known as the Ceph. Crysis 2 will take you through a long and satisfying campaign lasting 10+ hours with replay value for NG+ This isn't your traditional boring shooter, the gameplay is extremely dynamic and immersive thanks to the capabilities of the Nanosuit. The game's core focus is to be a good FPS which it does but it also introduces forms of stealth and platforming gameplay. The game's multiplayer is a hybrid of Halo 3 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Utilizing the same beautiful engine used in the single player, the online play will immerse you in a beautiful war where everything from the physics to character models to map, gun and perk balance just feels right. With 6 diverse game modes, the nanosuit and killstreaks, Crysis 2 delivers the next generation of multiplayer today.
STEP ONE - COMPLETE THE CAMPAIGN & GET ALL NEW YORK SOUVENIRS + COMBAT TROPHIES
If you want to attain all of the offline trophies in one playthrough start the game on SUPERSOLDIER difficulty however it's recommended to start the game on easy and do a second playthrough on Supersoldier. Because it's good to familiarize yourself with Crysis 2's gameplay, the nanosuit's abilities, weapons and the levels as well as to enjoy the game and not get frustrated. In addition, all upgrades will carry over to a New Game + making an additional playthrough on Supersoldier even easier. Starting on easy will also make getting the collectible trophies easier. Replay any chapters on easy to clean up trophies before starting campaign on Supersoldier.
Note that there are multiple collectibles in the game such as Dog Tags, Emails, Cars and Statues but the only one you need to care about for the trophy requirement are the statues. Each chapter (excluding prologue) has a New York Souvenir that needs to be collected.
There are only 5 chapter "missable" trophies and they're in order of the chapters they appear in on the trophy guide. You want to use your first playthrough to attain all combat specific trophies, there aren't that many and they aren't hard, most will come naturally but some you may have to try for. The campaign should take you 10-12 hours to complete, upwards of 14 if your first playthrough is on Supersoldier.

STEP TWO - COMPLETE THE CAMPAIGN ON SUPERSOLDIER (Hardest Difficulty)
If your first playthrough was already on Supersoldier then skip this. Enemies do more damage and have more health. Survival should be the only objective. Playing though on Supersoldier will also net you the veteran trophies for a total of all 6 difficulty trophies. So, the difficulty trophies do stack. You can play through this mode with chapter select. Be ready to spend 10-12 hours on this playthrough.
Total time investment: 20-24 hours |or| 12-14 (if started on Supersoldier)
STEP THREE - ONLINE MULTIPLAYER
Online trophies will require approx 25-35 hours (depending on FPS skill) to get all multiplayer related trophies except for the "Dedication" trophy. The biggest grind is the gold multiplayer trophy which requires you to reach level 50. The "Dedication" trophy requires you to log in and start a ranked online match 6 months after you played online the first time.
Here's some tips:
Patch 1.01 has fixed the connection issues with the Multiplayer. You will be able to get into games perfectly fine within seconds and stay connected even with a Nat Type 3 connection.

TIPS & TRICKS:
If Supersoldier is your second playthrough the first should have fully/almost fully leveled your nanosuit which will give you a big edge in this difficulty. If you are still having trouble use these:
1) You can farm chapter 10 on easy to collect Nano Catalyst and fully level the Nanosuit.
2) Use stealth so you can to avoid enemies and just go for the objective.
3) In the levels where you are fighting the Heavy Cephs, use explosive weapons and turrets.
4) Always stay near cover, don't try and be a Commando.

Single Player: Stealth kill 25 enemies
Very easy trophy that should come naturally, to enter Stealth hit R2 and go behind a soldier then when prompted, press down on R3 to perform a stealth kill. Every chapter that has soldiers can be used for this trophy, make sure you pay attention to your enemy's awareness bar for maximum effectiveness.

Kill 10 enemies by throwing an object at them
This one will likely not come naturally, but there are many many objects you can pick up throughout the game. To pick up objects approach them and press square then aim and throw it at an enemy with R1. It is best to weaken them first with bullets and you should do it on easy.

Kill 10 enemies with grab and throw
Pretty easy, to grip an enemy approach them and grab them with square when prompted and then throw them after Alcatraz has choke them with R1. Best to do this on easy as it seems a throw will kill any "throwable" enemy without needing to hit them with bullets first.

Single Player: Kill 4 enemies in a row with headshots
Very east trophy, can be done anywhere. Doing it on human CELL soldiers is easiest way. Just take your time and aim for the head. It can also be easily done at the beginning of chapter 4 where you can pick up the sniper rifle for the first time after stealth killing the guard on the ledge and there are multiple enemies waiting to get owned.

Single Player: Kill 5 enemies while sliding
This one is trophy that might not come naturally. To slide you just press circle while sprinting. And while sliding get your crosshairs on the enemy and shoot them. Best weapon for this is Auto-Action Shotgun on Easy as it always kills the CELL soldiers in one hit at close range. The 5 kills do not have to be in a row.

Single Player: Kill 20 enemies with the Microwave cannon
First time you see this gun is in Chapter 9 "Dark Heart" it's along the right sidewalk as you progress through the subway station. The gun is called X-43 Mike and has 500 rounds which is only good for 12-15 Ceph kills. The gun appears again in chapters 17-19 various times so you have many chances to kill enemies with it.

Multiplayer: Reach Rank 50
Rank 50 in multiplayer is the highest rank you can achieve while playing ranked matches online. It will be a grind for most but it isn't that bad. It will take about 20-30 hours for the average FPS player.

Multiplayer: Finish top of the Scoreboard
Self-explanatory, get the highest score. Do this in any game mode by getting kills, assists and going on defense and offense around objectives. Considering you have to win on the game mode Instant Action for the "Jack of All Trades" trophy you can get this trophy by winning that game mode.

Multiplayer: Fully level the Nanosuit
There are three modules to the nanosuit which all need to be maxed out at level 12 in order to unlock this trophy. The three components are ARMOR, STEALTH and POWER. To level a module you must gain XP with it, to do this you must use that module effectively in ranked matches. Also doing module specific perk challenges will net you a lot of XP. The power module is just normal nanosuit and usually upgrades itself on par with the other modules. This trophy will come over time as you make your way towards to level 50, just be sure to be using your nanosuit.

To unlock a weapon you must spend "weapon unlock" points on a weapon you meet the level requirement to unlock. Weapons include primary, secondary and explosive weapons. You'll get this naturally while progressing towards level 50 but there are total of 20 weapons (4 explosive, 4 secondaries and 12 primary).

Skill kills can be found under Operative Status in the Multiplayer Menu. There are a total of 23 skill kills and here's list of all of them:
Blind Fury - Kill an enemy while you are stunned by a flashbang grenade (Can flashbang yourself)
Dead Air - Kill an enemy when they are in the air
Specter - Stealth kill an enemy
Headshot - Kill an enemy with a headshot
Triple Kill - Get 3 consecutive kills within a few seconds
Psycho - Get 5 consecutive kills within a few seconds
Vengeance - Kill the enemy who most recently killed you
Puncture - Kill an enemy by shooting through an object
Blinding - Kill an enemy that is stunned by a flashbang grenade
Combined Fire - Damage an enemy with your primary weapon then switch to pistol and kill them
Road Rage - Kick a car at an enemy (with R3 ) and kill them
Denied - Kill an enemy when they are 1 Dog Tag away from acquiring a killstreak
Busted - Kill an enemy when they are in stealth mode
Defiant - Kill an enemy when you are near death
Smackdown - Melee kill an enemy
Double Kill - Get 2 consecutive kills within a few seconds
Relentless - Get 4 consecutive kills within a few seconds
Resurgence - Get a kill after a death streak (Unknown how many deaths, assuming 5?)
Wingman - Protect a team mate (Unsure how to do this, I think protect a team mate in an objective)
Guardian - Kill an enemy who is shooting a team mate before they kill that team mate
Flushed - Kill an enemy after they've been hit with a frag grenade
Intervention - Kill an enemy who is shooting a team mate in the back

Multiplayer: Get 30 Spot Assists
Press up on the d-pad to bring up your visor and then press L1 to zoom and mark enemy targets with square so that your team will be alerted of their location. If a team mate gets the kill during the time the enemy is still revealed it will count as a spot assist and you will see +30 XP. This can only be done on team games and ranked matches. Fairly easy to do.

Multiplayer: Win a match of every game mode
Simply win on all game modes. You don't need to win in all the sub categories under the game mode. All game modes aren't available at the start of your career. But this will come naturally as you grind for the level 50 trophy.
Games modes are: Instant Action, Team Instant Action, Capture the Relay, Crash Site, Assault & Extraction.

Unlock 150 Dog Tag displays
Go into "Operative Status" in the multiplayer menu and then go down to "Dog Tags." The first tab "General'" has 64 Dog Tags which DO count towards this trophy. The combined other 3 tabs "Mystery," "Medals," and "Awards" total 64 x 3 = 192, making 256 total Dog Tags. Unlock 86 more Dog Tags to get this trophy. The Mystery Dog Tags are obtained by ranking up and obtaining unlock points, the medals and awards. Dog Tags must be attained through accomplishing hidden tasks and match awards respectively.

Simple. Complete 3 ranked matches of any game mode. Must play the matches out until the end, you don't have to be in them from the very beginning.

Collect 20 Dogtags
This is in reference to multiplayer, single player dog tags won't count. Whenever you kill an enemy they will drop a Dog Tag where you killed them. You need to run over to their dead body and grab the Dog Tag before it disappears. If you die before you collect the Dog Tag you can still go back and get it. Alternatively you can use the "Retriever" power perk to automatically collect Dog Tags when your power module hits level 6. This trophy is cumulative and does not need to be done in one match.

Multiplayer: Fully level a Suit Module
Each suit module has various perks that can be assigned to it. For this trophy you need to fully level up any module perk to the 3rd rank. Each perk has specific requirements in order for it to level up.

Be in a squad of at least 3 people and play a full game
Invite 2+ people or be invited to a party of 2+ and enter a game and play it to the end. People in the party do not need to be on your friends list.

Multiplayer: Play a full game on every map
Play each of the original maps on any Crysis 2 multiplayer mode until the end to unlock this trophy. You do not need to play all maps on one specific game mode, you can play 2 maps on Team Instant Action and 2 on Crash Site, etc as long as you play them until the end.
The maps required to play are:
Skyline, Downed Bird, Sanctuary, Parking Deck, City Hall, Lighthouse, Terminal, Evacuation, Liberty Island, Pier 17, Impact, Wallstreet

Create your first custom class
Custom classes are unlocked when you reach rank 5, simply enter the "Customize Equipment" menu from the multiplayer menu and select "Custom Class 1" and create a loadout with whatever guns, attachments, explosives and perks you want to use.

Play online 6 months after your first time
The trophy that prevents a quick Platinum. It has been confirmed that you cannot just change the PS3's clock to earn this trophy as it goes by server time. If you play the game online on March 22nd, 2011 the earliest you will be able to obtain this trophy is September 22nd, 2011. You must have logged onto the Multiplayer and played a game to the end for it to count as your first time online.

The "Dedication" trophy requires you to log in and start a ranked online match 6 months after you played online the first time.

TIPS & TRICKS:
If Supersoldier is your second playthrough the first should have fully/almost fully leveled your nanosuit which will give you a big edge in this difficulty. If you are still having trouble use these:
1) You can farm chapter 10 on easy to collect Nano Catalyst and fully level the Nanosuit.
2) Use stealth so you can to avoid enemies and just go for the objective.
3) In the levels where you are fighting the Heavy Cephs, use explosive weapons and turrets.
4) Always stay near cover, don't try and be a Commando.

Very easy trophy that should come naturally, to enter Stealth hit R2 and go behind a soldier then when prompted, press down on R3 to perform a stealth kill. Every chapter that has soldiers can be used for this trophy, make sure you pay attention to your enemy's awareness bar for maximum effectiveness.

Very east trophy, can be done anywhere. Doing it on human CELL soldiers is easiest way. Just take your time and aim for the head. It can also be easily done at the beginning of chapter 4 where you can pick up the sniper rifle for the first time after stealth killing the guard on the ledge and there are multiple enemies waiting to get owned.

This one is trophy that might not come naturally. To slide you just press circle while sprinting. And while sliding get your crosshairs on the enemy and shoot them. Best weapon for this is Auto-Action Shotgun on Easy as it always kills the CELL soldiers in one hit at close range. The 5 kills do not have to be in a row.

Single Player: Kill 20 enemies with the Microwave cannon
First time you see this gun is in Chapter 9 "Dark Heart" it's along the right sidewalk as you progress through the subway station. The gun is called X-43 Mike and has 500 rounds which is only good for 12-15 Ceph kills. The gun appears again in chapters 17-19 various times so you have many chances to kill enemies with it.

Multiplayer: Fully level the Nanosuit
There are three modules to the nanosuit which all need to be maxed out at level 12 in order to unlock this trophy. The three components are ARMOR, STEALTH and POWER. To level a module you must gain XP with it, to do this you must use that module effectively in ranked matches. Also doing module specific perk challenges will net you a lot of XP. The power module is just normal nanosuit and usually upgrades itself on par with the other modules. This trophy will come over time as you make your way towards to level 50, just be sure to be using your nanosuit.

Press up on the d-pad to bring up your visor and then press L1 to zoom and mark enemy targets with square so that your team will be alerted of their location. If a team mate gets the kill during the time the enemy is still revealed it will count as a spot assist and you will see +30 XP. This can only be done on team games and ranked matches. Fairly easy to do.

Go into "Operative Status" in the multiplayer menu and then go down to "Dog Tags." The first tab "General'" has 64 Dog Tags which DO count towards this trophy. The combined other 3 tabs "Mystery," "Medals," and "Awards" total 64 x 3 = 192, making 256 total Dog Tags. Unlock 86 more Dog Tags to get this trophy. The Mystery Dog Tags are obtained by ranking up and obtaining unlock points, the medals and awards. Dog Tags must be attained through accomplishing hidden tasks and match awards respectively.

Alternatively you can use the "Retriever" power perk to automatically collect Dog Tags when your power module hits level 6. This trophy is cumulative and does not need to be done in one match.

TIPS & TRICKS:
If Supersoldier is your second playthrough the first should have fully/almost fully leveled your nanosuit which will give you a big edge in this difficulty. If you are still having trouble use these:
1) You can farm chapter 10 on easy to collect Nano Catalyst and fully level the Nanosuit.
2) Use stealth so you can to avoid enemies and just go for the objective.
3) In the levels where you are fighting the Heavy Cephs, use explosive weapons and turrets.
4) Always stay near cover, don't try and be a Commando.

Single Player: Stealth kill 25 enemies
Very easy trophy that should come naturally, to enter Stealth hit R2 and go behind a soldier then when prompted, press down on R3 to perform a stealth kill. Every chapter that has soldiers can be used for this trophy, make sure you pay attention to your enemy's awareness bar for maximum effectiveness.

Kill 10 enemies by throwing an object at them
This one will likely not come naturally, but there are many many objects you can pick up throughout the game. To pick up objects approach them and press square then aim and throw it at an enemy with R1. It is best to weaken them first with bullets and you should do it on easy.

Kill 10 enemies with grab and throw
Pretty easy, to grip an enemy approach them and grab them with square when prompted and then throw them after Alcatraz has choke them with R1. Best to do this on easy as it seems a throw will kill any "throwable" enemy without needing to hit them with bullets first.

Single Player: Kill 4 enemies in a row with headshots
Very east trophy, can be done anywhere. Doing it on human CELL soldiers is easiest way. Just take your time and aim for the head. It can also be easily done at the beginning of chapter 4 where you can pick up the sniper rifle for the first time after stealth killing the guard on the ledge and there are multiple enemies waiting to get owned.

Single Player: Kill 5 enemies while sliding
This one is trophy that might not come naturally. To slide you just press circle while sprinting. And while sliding get your crosshairs on the enemy and shoot them. Best weapon for this is Auto-Action Shotgun on Easy as it always kills the CELL soldiers in one hit at close range. The 5 kills do not have to be in a row.

Single Player: Kill 20 enemies with the Microwave cannon
First time you see this gun is in Chapter 9 "Dark Heart" it's along the right sidewalk as you progress through the subway station. The gun is called X-43 Mike and has 500 rounds which is only good for 12-15 Ceph kills. The gun appears again in chapters 17-19 various times so you have many chances to kill enemies with it.

Rank 50 in multiplayer is the highest rank you can achieve while playing ranked matches online. It will be a grind for most but it isn't that bad. It will take about 20-30 hours for the average FPS player.

Self-explanatory, get the highest score. Do this in any game mode by getting kills, assists and going on defense and offense around objectives. Considering you have to win on the game mode Instant Action for the "Jack of All Trades" trophy you can get this trophy by winning that game mode.

Multiplayer: Fully level the Nanosuit
There are three modules to the nanosuit which all need to be maxed out at level 12 in order to unlock this trophy. The three components are ARMOR, STEALTH and POWER. To level a module you must gain XP with it, to do this you must use that module effectively in ranked matches. Also doing module specific perk challenges will net you a lot of XP. The power module is just normal nanosuit and usually upgrades itself on par with the other modules. This trophy will come over time as you make your way towards to level 50, just be sure to be using your nanosuit.

To unlock a weapon you must spend "weapon unlock" points on a weapon you meet the level requirement to unlock. Weapons include primary, secondary and explosive weapons. You'll get this naturally while progressing towards level 50 but there are total of 20 weapons (4 explosive, 4 secondaries and 12 primary).

Skill kills can be found under Operative Status in the Multiplayer Menu. There are a total of 23 skill kills and here's list of all of them:
Blind Fury - Kill an enemy while you are stunned by a flashbang grenade (Can flashbang yourself)
Dead Air - Kill an enemy when they are in the air
Specter - Stealth kill an enemy
Headshot - Kill an enemy with a headshot
Triple Kill - Get 3 consecutive kills within a few seconds
Psycho - Get 5 consecutive kills within a few seconds
Vengeance - Kill the enemy who most recently killed you
Puncture - Kill an enemy by shooting through an object
Blinding - Kill an enemy that is stunned by a flashbang grenade
Combined Fire - Damage an enemy with your primary weapon then switch to pistol and kill them
Road Rage - Kick a car at an enemy (with R3 ) and kill them
Denied - Kill an enemy when they are 1 Dog Tag away from acquiring a killstreak
Busted - Kill an enemy when they are in stealth mode
Defiant - Kill an enemy when you are near death
Smackdown - Melee kill an enemy
Double Kill - Get 2 consecutive kills within a few seconds
Relentless - Get 4 consecutive kills within a few seconds
Resurgence - Get a kill after a death streak (Unknown how many deaths, assuming 5?)
Wingman - Protect a team mate (Unsure how to do this, I think protect a team mate in an objective)
Guardian - Kill an enemy who is shooting a team mate before they kill that team mate
Flushed - Kill an enemy after they've been hit with a frag grenade
Intervention - Kill an enemy who is shooting a team mate in the back

Multiplayer: Get 30 Spot Assists
Press up on the d-pad to bring up your visor and then press L1 to zoom and mark enemy targets with square so that your team will be alerted of their location. If a team mate gets the kill during the time the enemy is still revealed it will count as a spot assist and you will see +30 XP. This can only be done on team games and ranked matches. Fairly easy to do.

Multiplayer: Win a match of every game mode
Simply win on all game modes. You don't need to win in all the sub categories under the game mode. All game modes aren't available at the start of your career. But this will come naturally as you grind for the level 50 trophy.
Games modes are: Instant Action, Team Instant Action, Capture the Relay, Crash Site, Assault & Extraction.

Unlock 150 Dog Tag displays
Go into "Operative Status" in the multiplayer menu and then go down to "Dog Tags." The first tab "General'" has 64 Dog Tags which DO count towards this trophy. The combined other 3 tabs "Mystery," "Medals," and "Awards" total 64 x 3 = 192, making 256 total Dog Tags. Unlock 86 more Dog Tags to get this trophy. The Mystery Dog Tags are obtained by ranking up and obtaining unlock points, the medals and awards. Dog Tags must be attained through accomplishing hidden tasks and match awards respectively.

Simple. Complete 3 ranked matches of any game mode. Must play the matches out until the end, you don't have to be in them from the very beginning.

Collect 20 Dogtags
This is in reference to multiplayer, single player dog tags won't count. Whenever you kill an enemy they will drop a Dog Tag where you killed them. You need to run over to their dead body and grab the Dog Tag before it disappears. If you die before you collect the Dog Tag you can still go back and get it. Alternatively you can use the "Retriever" power perk to automatically collect Dog Tags when your power module hits level 6. This trophy is cumulative and does not need to be done in one match.

Multiplayer: Fully level a Suit Module
Each suit module has various perks that can be assigned to it. For this trophy you need to fully level up any module perk to the 3rd rank. Each perk has specific requirements in order for it to level up.

Invite 2+ people or be invited to a party of 2+ and enter a game and play it to the end. People in the party do not need to be on your friends list.

Multiplayer: Play a full game on every map
Play each of the original maps on any Crysis 2 multiplayer mode until the end to unlock this trophy. You do not need to play all maps on one specific game mode, you can play 2 maps on Team Instant Action and 2 on Crash Site, etc as long as you play them until the end.
The maps required to play are:
Skyline, Downed Bird, Sanctuary, Parking Deck, City Hall, Lighthouse, Terminal, Evacuation, Liberty Island, Pier 17, Impact, Wallstreet

Create your first custom class
Custom classes are unlocked when you reach rank 5, simply enter the "Customize Equipment" menu from the multiplayer menu and select "Custom Class 1" and create a loadout with whatever guns, attachments, explosives and perks you want to use.

The trophy that prevents a quick Platinum. It has been confirmed that you cannot just change the PS3's clock to earn this trophy as it goes by server time. If you play the game online on March 22nd, 2011 the earliest you will be able to obtain this trophy is September 22nd, 2011. You must have logged onto the Multiplayer and played a game to the end for it to count as your first time online.
