Do you have TooManyItems or InvEdit with you?

Yeah... I have too many items, and single player commands.

So what you'll have to do if you want that area covered is,

Create a wall at the level you want the water at (Surrounding it), Then fill it with water around the wall, Then destroy the wall.

Wouldn't that take forever?

Kinda, but it's the only way (that i know) that can be done.

Here are some tips.

    

1)Fill from bottom up. Need to be all source blocks.

If you don't the water will forever flow downwards. 



2) put a top layer of dirt then put one bucket of water ontop. Until it spreads itself around then destroy the dirt.

Well, since you have Single Player Commands, it should be fairly easy.

1) get your wand with command "//wand"
2)with the wand, left click one corner of the area, and right click the opposite corner.
3)if you only covered on layer of blocks, use the command "//expand <number> down" the <number> is how many more layers it needs to cover, enter without the "<>" signs.
4)use the command "//set water" to turn the whole area you selected into water.

That will end up making a perfect cube of water, however. But, you could use another tool, and use the command "/br sphere dirt 3" and just reshape the land. Then fine-tune it with "/br smooth"
