During the previous week, a massive amount of information regarding the new Call of Duty title was leaked. The details revealed things such as guns, character models, vehicles, maps, game modes and even story mode elements. Surprisingly, Activision had managed to turn to leak into a positive advantage. They began their launch due to the leak and released teaser trailers as well as begging pre orders for the game. Activision's Publishing CEO, Eric Hirshberg, sent out an email to the staff of Activision regarding the recent events. As it happens, that specific e-mail had gotten leaked too!

In retrospect, a leak as large as this would have caused major problems for a company. However, it seems as if that Activision isn't doing too bad. The teaser trailers released ahead of planned schedule got a huge amount of views and the pre order sales gave the game a huge swing of momentum. There's still a long way to go until the release date, so we'll have to wait and see what else Activision has got in store for all of us.

Doesn't it further raise the hype though? It seems to have had that effect anyway.
