As the gaming industry cools down after the departure of E3, there begins to be much anticipation regarding upcoming titles. With this statement, it seems that almost, if not all, hold high hopes for the up and coming Battlefield 3. For those of you who dont know, DICE will grant players an exclusive “Physical Warfare Pack” if they choose to pre-order the game.

This package will feature new weapons, ammo, and even specialty attachment modifications. Users lucky enough to receive this virtual token of appreciate will have access to the Type 88 LMG, featuring a bipod, the SKS sniper rifle with flash suppressor, along with lethal armor-piercing flechette ammo for the DAO-12 semi-automatic shotgun. The package will also unlock the previous mentioned shotgun (DAO-12) at level one.

Also when pre-ordering Battlefield 3, gamers will be granted the Karkand digital expansion pack. This will allow players to game on four of the most desirable Battlefield 2 maps. The confirmed maps which will be featured within the DLC will be: Strike at Karkand, Guld of Oman, and finally, Sharqu Peninsula.

It isn’t hard to see why the powerful DAO-12 was a big fan favorite in Battlefield 2. Being a highly versatile semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun, the DAO-12 can carry 4 types of ammo in a high capacity 12-round magazine. For close encounters, you wouldn’t want to carry any other weapon, and with the Physical Warfare Pack, you unlock it from day 1 in Battlefield 3.

This exclusive armor-piercing ammo makes your DAO-12 shotgun pack an added punch. Each flechette cartridge holds a number of 1-inch tungsten arrows that willtear through any material, be it metal, wood, or enemies. If you turn a corner and meet three soldiers from the opposing force, these are the rounds you want loaded in your DAO-12.
FLASH SUPPRESSOR FOR SKS SNIPER RIFLE
Exclusive weapon mod

This exclusive item is the only sniper rifle flash suppressor in the game. Attaching it to the fast-firing and high capacity SKS rifle turns you into a highly agile and versatile Recon member. Not really news anymore also this was a UK only promotion so far (Sold Out), other countries will be announced according to EA. :confused:



Exclusive isn't an accurate description, it's 1st access content eventually everyone gets the content but the pre-orders will get it day one or at least i hope this is the case.

I have the money now to pre-order physical warfare pack but it hasn't been announced in the US yet and i need a new headset i might end spending my money on PX5s.

This will be something which will definitely be offered to the USA/Canada, etc. There is no possibility in my mind that the UK will be the only ones receiving this special offer. I'd imagine within the days that follow we will see the same thing at Gamestop/Eb Games.

Yeah i know EA said it will be announced in other countries but so far only UK has had the opportunity to buy this a couple of weeks ago and it sold out right away.

Yes, I knew the offer had been out in the UK for a little bit of time. However, I tried to search for sold out confirmation, to no avail. Not being posted, this was something I thought would peak the interest of our UK base for the time being.

Edit: I tried to pre-order through HMV (affiliation on the battlefield website) and it indeed stated it will come with this package. It says the content may not be available after launch date. So I do not think it is sold out, as it is a virtual redeem code, they could make tens of thousands of.

This thread was not "ground breaking news". If you read the posts above, you will see it was posted to inform the UK users who were unaware. A good reminder now that E3 is done and people have seen what Battlefield has to offer.
