Undeniable since release, Little BIG Planet 1 and 2 have undoubtedly built a large fan base around Playstation consumers. Many enjoy the series which allow for the unimaginable to unfold, as gamers take control in order to create whatever, whenever. There is however, news which is arising from Media Molecule themselves. Hinted at by the famous developers of Little BIG Planet, is the idea based around ‘shying away’ from the title.

Media Molecule, in recent mention, emphasized the idea of "stepping away from Little Big Planet to focus on some new ideas." With this being stated, it seems that MM wishes to shake things up by introducing a new title for future life on the Playstaton 3 system. In light of this topic, the developers are hiring staff in order to assist with the unnamed title, which without question possesses high hopes. Though this comes of shock to many, they still promise to ensure the quality of the existing games.

The last known LBP project in development is for the makings of the PS Vita based game.

Putting things into perspective, it seems as if fans should not get their hopes up for a future Little BIG Planet title. There will, however, most likely be DLC and or content for the already pre-existing two, as Media Molecule promises to still ‘take care’ of the series they created. A disappointment to some, one can only hope for good things to come in future time, as a new based game is being created by the ever-so-unique bunch.

I really can't see what else they could add! Also, the game does get pretty boring after a bit. Let's see what MM's got up their sleeves with this new game.

Don't you think they deserve to work on something new?
They never made the DLC anyway, just the new tools which came out rarely and they already have the Move pack announced which is huge with so many new tools. At least they are going out with a bang.

Of course they do, I'm not disappointed that they've got a great new title to work on, I'm disappointed that they're near enough going to discontinue it, except for DLC. It's such a shame.

This is pretty harsh. As long as they don't completely abandon the LBP franchise (which I highly doubt they will), I wouldn't mind seeing what else MM can come up with.
