(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Battlefield 3, DICE's graphically-intensive shooter, however, may require two discs. The incredibly reliable source for this news is a Japanese poster, spotted in a shop and posted by Hachimaki, which lists the Xbox version as shippin on "DVD-ROMx2".

It also states that the PlayStation 3 version comes on "BD ROM x1". Obviously it's not clear whether you'll have to change discs mid-way through the campaign or whether single-player and multi-player will be divided. Apart from stoking fanboy flames, does it really matter if you have to get up once or twice?

Worth the Weight
I love Call of Duty, but I won't flame because they are both going to be great games. But I think that having 2 disks will be annoying. Increased chance of me loosing something Not Happy or Sad Well I guess 2 disks is a little bit of a GOOD thing, since the game is so advanced that it can't fit onto a disk. But at the same time it may be annoying.

And its likely going to be one disc for campaign and the other disc for multiplayer.

Its because xbox disk limit that most games suffer under graphical parts. Xbox should get a new disc with the same cappacity of the BD of Sony. The Developars are currently holding down the graphics (every game, every developer) and many other things just so the xbox will have the same experience as the ps3.

Kinda sucks...

There are downsides to the blu-ray too though, Google them. The only advantage BD holds is the storage capacity.

I'm not saying BD isn't better, just that it's not the perfect disc solution everybody thinks it is.

Anyway, IMO what we really need is a big boost in internet speeds and a big drop in internet speed prices, then we can start storing games digitally. I know that's something many are against, however it does seem like the only viable option at this point.

Agreed, i kinda liked the PSPGo's vision, Been able to download games online. but idk why many people disliked the thing. It seems that it will be the only way in the future
