Speaking at the FNAC meeting in Paris, France, DICE GM Karl Magnus Troedsson gave a co-op demo of Battlefield 3 and answered questions. According to Planete-Battlefield.fr (unrelated to us), KM Kusa (French Community Manager) said the PC beta is ready, but now they are working with Microsoft and Sony to "accelerate preparations". From what we have heard, it takes 2-3 weeks for Microsoft and Sony to approve content, running it through tests to make sure it won't brick your console among other things. That said, we have no idea when the build was submitted to them. As far as we know, the the Battlefield 3 beta is still slated for sometime this month.

Hopefully the have already submitted the beta to microsoft and sony so the wait isn't too much longer. I think that it will come out pretty soon since EA is such a big publisher microsoft and sony will not be wasting time approving it. Also Microsoft and Sony will be pushing to get it out since it will get their networks quite a bit of traffic.

Most sources say beta will be around the end of September. Or maybe even beginning of October.

DICE says that they're still planning on a September release.

I can't wait.. I'm glad i got MoH Limited Edition D

That's a 48 hour early access. It's nice, but not a big deal to me.

Does anyone know how long the Beta will last?

I would say 1 week absolute minimum (hopefully not though) and somewhere around a month tops. All depends on when the release of beta is, and how close it is to launch.
