Have you had a chance to play the new Gears of War 3? It seems as if many are already indulging in the fun, or at least it has been reported. Since being release only a short week ago, Microsoft has confirmed the sale of more than 3 million copies of the trilogy worldwide. An Xbox 360 exclusive, the Gears of War series is always a much anticipated title prior to release; however, with this latest edition there is new meaning to word anticipation. To put these sales into perspective, Gears of War 3 outsold its predecessor (previous title) by more than a %50 margin. Adding to the flattery, the newest game outsold both prior titles combined for first week sales.

With this being a grand achievement itself, Gears of War 3 has also captured other numerous titles thanks to its success by consumers. The game currently holds the biggest 2011 title launch as it edged out Pokemon White/Black. In addition, this particular game becomes 6th on the all time Xbox 360 launch list for most revenue upon release week.

As far as the numbers unfold, Gears of War 3 has currently sold 2.15 million units in the Americas, and 850,000 throughout the rest of the world. With its usually expectancy to sell 6 million units, it seems the title itself will far surpass its predicted sales. Reports aims the latest edition of Gears of War will sell 8 million+ copies.

Gears 3 is SO much better than Gears 2. If you are on the fence about buying gears 3 because of how bad gears 2 multiplayer was, don't be. It is an awesome game.

Didn't even know this game was THAT popular, well.. it definitely did beat Killzone 3. Hooray for Sony Games.

Trolling is a art
It's amazing game and it definitely deserves the credit. I personally love it, especially the campaign. A great and jerking way to close the story.
