The question i have is, is battlefield 3 that much improved on bc2? obviously most people would say its two different games but when i look at the call of duty series i hardly see any difference, and i would like opinions before i shell out £30 for BF3.

Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2 are completely different series, and therefore shouldn't be compared.. If you want to compare, it's BF2 v BF3 or BC v BC2.

In my point of view, it's an improvement, and is most defiantly worth buying. I'd suggest buying the limited edition though, which wasn't much more than the regular last time I looked. You will then get the first DLC for free, and possibly future ones.

Fair enough. It's an improvement on both in my opinion. And there's also a lot more guns, attachments, vehicles (both land and air).

honestly get MW3 before BF3 on the console. DEF get BF3 for the pc if you can. Consoles just cant compare

I own both and I won't go as far as to say there two different games , they have same mechanics , but the diffrence in bc2 and bf3 are these imo ,

pros: better graphics , PRONE!!!!!! , jets , medics have assualt weapons now no more mg for the damn medic , more vehicles , more custimization of vehicles ,

cons: mics don't fukking work (patch coming next month , so they say ) !!!! , not everything is destructible , parachutes are not double tapping x (you need to be a certain height) (also supposed to be nerfed in next patch) , no Uav to go around shooting people with ,


That's about it for now since I'm really stoned , but we have good Bf members on this forum and I bet they will also leave post with information that will help you decide


and I also have mw3 and your correct the call of duty series are all the same , mw3 is what i would describe as the add-on for BC2 "vietnam" same game just new maps , some new guns and some new k/s , same shit different year

Definitely worth a purchase, really the only thing I didn't like was how much they nerfed the destruction. Other than that it's a great game.

I really enjoy BF3, although if possible i deffinetly reccomend getting it on PC, 64 players is alot more fun than 24 player imo, also maps are bigger
