(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright, so whenever I load up minecraft and hit play no it gives me this error code:

Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

Before you go calling me an idiot, I do realize that I have a bad video card, and all I have to do is probably update my driver. What I want to know from you guys, is how do I find out what video card I have, and how do I know what driver I have to download? Thanks.

Google "Can i run it" and do a simple test for any game, it should tell you your video cards and everything about your pc, from there it shouldn't be too hard to update. Post if it works : - )

Ok I did what you said and it said this for the VIDEO CARD section of the results:

Video Card
Minimum: Shader 3.0 or better 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT / ATI Radeon X1950 or better
You Have:

Features: Minimum attributes of your Video Card
Required You Have
Video RAM 256 MB
Pixel Shader version 3.0
Vertex Shader version 3.0

Is this good or bad and is it good enough to play minecraft? Can you tell me what driver I need to download? I'm sorry I'm such a noob at this.. :/

I have a Nvidia MX 440 (64mb) and I can run Minecraft. (Laggy as shit when loading new areas but w/e).

Simply enough, go and find the latest driver update for your video card and install. If it is already installed, just re-install it and it should run.

Depending on what computer OS you have, you can go to System > Hardware > Device Manager > Display Adapter (expand). You should then be able to see what you have.

You must login or register to view this content.

Ive got an answer to all of your problems, well not the sexual ones but the minecraft related ones. you just have to update your GPU to the lastest version, and ofc keep Java up to date. Dave
