The 1.5 patch for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has officially been released by Bethesda on the PC, after being in beta mode for a solid week. And for all of you Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 fans, both Sony and Microsoft are reviewing the patches as we speak, so expect a new update for the title soon as it is coming out.
This specific patch adds a variety of different cinematic kill cameras for the users who favor magic and ranged weaponry, and also a few new kill animations being added to the melee side of things. The patch also solves a few bugs and optimizes the games memory use, again.
Here's a list of the patch details:
New cinematic kill cameras for projectile weapons and spells
New kill moves and animations for melee weapons
Shadows on grass available (PC)
Smithing skill increases now factor in the created item’s value
Improved visual transition when going underwater
Improved distance LOD transition for snowy landscapes
Is this patch something you guys have been waiting for? Why or why not?
Also, what are some things NOT listed above that need attending to?
I love that they add killcams for ranged and magic, but they really should add option to disable those as some people hate them.
I agree, I find kill cams kind of annoying at times, because they'll give you weird angles depending on where your character is standing and you won't even be able to see anything.
Well, i just downloaded patch and tested new killcams out, new melee and unarmed killcams are awesome, but i hate ranged and magic killcams, they suck balls...
And they didnt even give us option to disable magic/ranged killcams... sucks
I play on xbox, so i dont know if patch is out for ps3 yet.
