EA's Origin seems to be following the trend of Amazon in offering full refunds for people who were not satisfied for the ending of Mass Effect 3.

For those of you who don't know, the Mass Effect 3 ending was called dull and completely unsuitable as an end to a 6 year franchise some gamers put their heart into. People are demanding many things from Bioware, one of the most covered being a demand for an Alternative ending to replace the sad and abrupt original one. So far only rumours have spread about this though.

But now it seems Origin will be giving gamers some ease to their pain. In a thread posted by a user by the name of t_i_e_ at You must login or register to view this content., an image and method was posted showing how to get a FULL refund from Origin help services.

This comes as no surprise to many, as gamers have been smashing Bioware over the so called awful ending. Rumours of free DLC and an alternative ending are just some of many circulating at the minute. I guess we will just have to wait and see what else EA will do to appease the gamers.

What do you guys think? Should Bioware give an alternative ending? Was refunding the gamers right?

I was confused with the ending because I didn't think an ending could be soo bad. I rented it from GameFly so If there is an alternate ending coming out I'll probably re rent it. Literally ruined the best SciFi RPG game of all time.

Not to spoil anything but the ending for Mass Effect 3 was not good enough to wrap up the ENTIRE Mass Effect series. The ending gives no real closure. When I beat the game and chose a certain ending I felt like vomiting... I know that sounds like an overreaction for just a game but I had such a sick feeling in my stomach when I saw the ending. It left so many unanswered questions about the the galaxy you just saved, the worlds/races/characters you let live OR die and left YOU the player questioning the future well being of the Mass Effect galaxy. As nerdy as this may sound I played Mass Effect 1 and 2, and just felt connected to the characters I met and put a lot of thought into my decisions; even throughout Mass Effect 3. All those difficult decisions I made and having most of the characters survive into Mass Effect 3... to get such an "open" ending was truly sickening.

For those who are not opposed to the ending are probably new comers to the Mass Effect series or just played Mass Effect to have sex with aliens, beat up female reporters and just play the game like a renegade lol.

And realistically speaking as much as I want to have a new ending, seeing a DLC ending in the new future is just not possible. Bioware doesn't have enough time to make it and EA will not financially commit to funding such a project. So the only thing I can expect is a fancy epilogue or a new Mass Effect series in the years to come that will give light and closure on your final decision in Mass Effect 3

I doubt they are going to refund because the ending was bad, they are making a dlc with an alternative ending I hear

I dont think a not so good ending is reason enough for refunding the money used in a AAA game
