so the problem is that you didnt set it up correctly. most likely didnt do port forwarding?

Your just giving out your ip and thats not good. Also go to whatismyip.org and you should get your server ip address. You must have forwarded your ports already for people to be able to connect. Also the 192.168 is your default gateway which is like your computers ip for your network. No one will use that to connect. the :25565 is for your port. Unless you are somehow using different ports than you dont need to put 25565 at the end. For example my ip/domain is kfbcraft.no-ip.info because i have a domain name.

I did that, most likely incorrectly though.

Oh well the 192.168.1.2 is my IPv4 address. which one do i use then?IPv4 or the one i get from the websites like whatsmyip.org

K, well i portfowarded it on start port 25565 and end port 25565

Service type:TCP/UDP
Starting port:25565
Ending port:25565
Server Ip adress: 192.168.1.6

I think that's right..

192.168... that is your default gateway if I am correct. That's the IP you saw on your server? and btw you must make sure your ports are forwarded using the IPv4 address.
