I heard a rumor that some texture packs can cause lag on servers and in extreme cases single player. Some have blocks with more solid color as opposed to the default where the block has many many color shades splashed together. Personally I'd like a more cartoony look such as the texture you'd see on fortresscraft. Sometimes that default stuff can really give you a headache, and some way over the top texture packs as well...

Man have I had it all wrong. I guess if I lag while playing a game on xbox that just means I have a shit xbox. Seriously though you'd have to have one of the lowest rate PC's on the market to have trouble running a game as simple as Minecraft. I looked into it and others say that certain texture packs can indeed increase lag, some more than others. There would have to be some sort of anomaly going of if my pc can run games such as WoW, Neverwinter Nights, and other large games with quality settings on the highest they can go, yet not have the muscle to run Minecraft with all settings to the lowest. You don't need to blow money on unnecessary shit to throw into a pc in order to run that a game like Minecraft. If my custom built pc cost me that much dough and is running that screwed up I'd probably shoot myself. Either way it's still lag. Lag is when something doesn't respond in timely manner, whether it's a shitty internet connection, or your hardware not being able to handle the game speedily.

It takes alot more to run one of the 128x128 texture packs i hate mc patcher so idk what im using right now. But you are a retard. you are playing 1920x1280 max settings on all the games youhave?While unable to play mc though...
I only have a few games with good spec requirements and all of which i do play on max settings 1920x1280

Idk man, I might need to clean some things up or maybe it's just the cracked version I dl'ed isn't as good as premium. Very rarely will I lag on single player no matter what setting, but online I notice the higher the settings it gets worse, so I just keep it on low unless otherwise needed. I think this is mostly due to server lag, and not hardware as almost every time it gets bad, other people will not hesitate to type messages such as "LAAAG" or "OMFG LAGFEST" lol.
