There's actually no need for a new PS4, have you seen the graphics of Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3? None of those games are using the PS3 power at 100% constantly.
PS4 should be released when PS3 games move onto two Blu rays discs. Great graphics, full stereoscopic 3D and 7.1 surround sound, what more does a gaming machine need?
Sadly, the need for a new Xbox is forcing Sony to release PS4 far to early.

It's all about the money for both Microsoft and Sony. The current generation consoles could live on for a few more years because they can be updated software-wise and newer versions can come out with better hardware for next-gen games.

I don't really care at the moment. I'd rather still have my Xbox360 and Ps3 due to the fact that I really don't want to go out and buy something new that will take another year to get itself really going in the mainstream with good games. Let alone they really need to do things to the new next gen consoles to make people say holy shit and make you want to go out and pick up one even though you already have today's consoles. They need to put something in both of them that will make you want to go out and pick it up and make you want to play it over what you already own.

There's no question. Sony Wins. Sony has always been steps ahead of Microsoft.

PS3 still has a few more years, but since the 360 needs an upgrade, Sony will HAVE TO put up another console to compete.
