(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Battlefield 4 was officially announced by DICE last month, despite that they haven't even finished on working on the downloadable content for Battlefield 3. Fans are concerned over the announcement of the title, and they can not help but wonder if DICE is rushing the release and that they will drop support for Battlefield 3. EA executive producer Patrick Bach recently dismissed these claims, saying that gamers are worried for “all the wrong reasons.”

Bach stated that DICE encountered similar public outcry before Battlefield 2, which he says was misguided.

“People tend to forget we built three other Battlefield games in between Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 3,” Bach told Eurogamer. “That's a natural reaction. People then think we won't support Battlefield 3, even though we have the Premium version. People know we're working on future expansion packs and we've been very open in explaining what we are doing.”

EA recently stated that You must login or register to view this content. well after the release of Battlefield 4. Despite this, Bach said that “we [still] get reactions like this. I think it's just sad.” We are dedicated to supporting Battlefield 3. People seem to be worried for all the wrong reasons.”

Finally, he recognized that people are not happy DICE are working on something other than Battlefield 3. He added that “people want something awesome in the future, and that takes time.”

How do you feel about the release and announcement timings of Battlefield? Do you feel more comfortable now that EA and DICE have promised to continue to support Battlefield 3, even after the release of Battlefield 4?

Was never worried about it! BF BC1 is still supported online for PS3 and that came out like 4 years ago. No need to worry, DICE won't abandon BF3 so soon.

Can’t trickshot me!
Same here, I never got worried. I'm looking forward to BF4. I want to see how much more intense can Battlefield get.

Save Point
I think they could wait a little bit more before they start announcing the game. I'm worried that Battlefield might turn into a CoD deal, where they release a game each year, decreasing quality.

EA turning into full Activision mode with $$$ in their eyes for the Battlefield franchise

Not that they aren't for other games that is.
