(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); A few days ago, DICE rolled out a Battlelog update that completely changed the way your activity is shared and how your friends list is managed. If you frequently use Battlelog, you may have already noticed the changes, as the upgrade is live right now.

Battlelog + Origin

Origin is owned and operated by EA, and the decision was made to merge all users Battlelog friends lists with their Origin friends list. Rather than having two separate friends lists, gaming will be simplified as players will only need to look at one friends list.

Game Activity Stream

Previously, everything you did in Battlefield 3 was immediately shared with all your Battlelog friends. Now, a feature has been added so all users have control over what gets shared and what doesn't. This prevents notification spam in your Battle Feed and means you don't have to share notifications when you don't want to.

The new and improved Game Activity Screen is shown on the right side of Battlelog.

To share an event, simply locate the Game Activity Stream. Click the black star next to the event you wish to share. It's simple as that!

It's promising to see EA and DICE constantly striving to improve Battlelog. As an Origin user myself, finding and adding friends should be much simpler. I was never really bothered by friend game notifications, however it is nice to see we now have control over what we want to share. Do you have thoughts about this update? Why was it not like that on release ? still good to see it being updated.

Battlelog forums still need more work.

Yeah but they need to fix the favored battle reports.. Some are missing and you can not remove old reports to add new ones.

It is good that is being updated. Medal of Honour: Warfighter will incorporate Battlelog when it releases next month, so we know the Battlelog is going to still be supported for some time yet.

Battlelog is slowly but surely getting better. I am eager to see how much more it will have advanced for Battlefield 4.

With EA turning battlelog into the main forum/stat system no surpise on MOH.
Wonder if MOH going to get the same stuff as BF3 did......
BF4 should also be interesting and any other game by EA. I wonder if it only DICE games or EA wide games for battlelog.
