2 Controllers
A friend who can host a game for you online.
Text Tutorial
Join your friend's game with ONLY your 1st controller signed into Borderlands 2.
Press the start button on your first controller and highlight, BUT DONT PRESS, the "Resume" option on your screen in the menu.
Press the A button on your second controller that should be signed in as a guest (Do so now if not already) and RIGHT after that, press the "Resume" option you highlighted on your first controller.
You should be in a glitched menu, with Play, Options, and Quit in the top left hand corner.
With your first controller, press the Y button and choose the character that you want more skill points on, and confirm if need be.
On your second controller, press the Y button and choose to create a new Siren.
On your Second controller still, press start. A character selection Confirmation screen should pop up.
Still on your second controller, press the Y button and choose to create a Gunzerker.
Repeat Step 8, choosing to create a Siren, Gunzerker, Siren, etc. Do this over and over for at least 1-2 minutes (More if it doesn't work the first time). To do this,You should be pressing the Y button, choosing a character, pressing the Y button again, and choosing another character.
Once you have done it what you think is enough times.. On your first controller, press the A button to confirm character selection. You should now have as many skill points as you did if you respec in one of the machines. For instance, if you're level 50, you'd have an extra 46 skillpoints to use. It should be whatever level you are, minus 4, and that's how many skill points you will get.
Now Save and Quit out of your friend's game, and join back. You can now use your skillpoints!
thanks and more to come![/COLOR]
QUICK EDITS : SOON TO BE A VID, MUST USE NEW USER ON PSN EVERYTIME YOU RE DO THIS! STILL WORKING BUT NOW ITS HARDER TO GET IT TO WORK AFTER PATCH!
You say text tutorial... But there's no video tutorial. :/
Anyways, nice find
If I can understand the directions a little more clearly, I'll be sure to try!
Well I sort of got this to work, but not this method. I tried for about an hour and got it to work only 1 time. I tried for an hour after that and could not replicate the results. So it may work for you or it may not. Below is the ps3 version that I used as the base.
**NOTE** Back up all of your character saves. When I got it to work on my level 50 commando it completely messed up my level 40 mech

I think it got patched, I followed exact instructions and watched several vids online and it didn't work. it will probably work if you delete the patch and use some patch blocker to do it.
I got it to work yesterday after downloading the dlc, so yes it still works. It would not work on my level 50 characters but worked on a level 34 mechromancer. It did not work every attempt but after about 30 mins my skill trees were in full bloom.
