There is a temporary way to upgrade your backpack to 42 but it will return to 27 if you quit and reload the save.

Change the third dot after j for 1b (27) and set the 8 KOS to 0 (see the tread for modding amno capacity). Once in game, you have 27 backpack and you can buy all the KOS in sancturary. It set your backpack to 42.

I post it because i hope it can help someone else to find a better solution...
