However, I haven't chosen a signature skill yet and I am clueless on which ones would work best for my player.

I'm a PG and sometimes play SG. My play style is athletic, I play for the Knicks (if that helps? :lol, I'm more of an offensive player. I also take a lot of 3s and am second in the league for 3pt percentage and I make nearly all of my 3s. Oh, and I'm 6'6". I'm marked as an A- or higher on everything except D's on post defense and rebounding.

I was thinking about getting Floor General or Corner Specialist as my friends recommend them. Also, don't worry about VC. I've got tons of VC.

Use lock down defender it's very useful and your matchup won't score as much.

Lockdown defender is a must have
I you like to penetrate the defense you need posterizer
Like you mentioned you like to shoot so Deadeye is a must have for you, maybe add shot creator if you shoot of dribble a lot.
Corner specialist is a waste of a sig skill. Don't buy it.
