I noticed that right above the part you rename is the name again preceded by the two letter country of origin. For example DEvolkswagonRSi etc. I changed the DE to JP and tried to enter the Beetle into Japanese races but it didnt work. Ill keep trying but I believe it may be hard coded so probably not possible. If anyone knows please at the very least acknowledge that its possible or not possible.

It would allow you to race any in any country specific race. For example Id race a Gallardo,Ruf,Viper etc in the Ferrari only race events. If it can be done, why not?

Mmm idk, maybe this info are in GT5 data and not in the save. Talking about that, when i change the name of my bobs, a copuple of lines later i read a IT, FR, GB or another XX that i dont remember, i suppose this is the country of the bob, but in the game this info is useless.
