I've honestly never understood why people prefer the SV98, I mean i've used it and I enjoyed it but I just think there's better alternatives, but that's just my opinion so it's everybody to themselves I guess
As for the JNG, it's really good, if there was no M98B on the game I would use it, it's just the M98 has less bullet drop over long-extreme ranges so it has the edge for me.

I'm the opposite. I'm more of a marksman. Long range is my favorite. As for rifles, my favorite, oddly, is the L96. I fell in love with it while trying to complete some B2K assignments. I didn't like it at first, but when I went back and used it one day, I fell in love with it. Its the sound of it firing, the re-chambering a bullet, and the "feel" of the gun. I scored my second longest headshot with it. 1386m on Wake Island. From US carrier to C building. My longest is with the M98B. 2400.09m. I scored it today on Bandar Desert.
EDIT: From RU spawn mountains to behind where the US jets spawn. Some poor guy was waiting for the jet.

Recon comes in handy on certain maps and in certain situations.. I have played against a couple groups who like to keep control of a certain part of the map and that part only... So the spawn-beacon comes in very handy. Then there is the MAV... I can't tell you how many enemy recon players I have pissed off using the MAV... Destroying their MAV's and spawn-beacons really fucks them up on that warehouse / cargo map.
I used to run M98 with no scope, that shit was a cannon and often 1-hit K.O in chest @ CQ.

You just have to keep playing to level up... Or pay the money to unlock everything.

I run no scope or red dot or halo.
Once I have it unlocked the decent 3.4 scope.
Normally use a semi auto sniper or PDW with the recon kit.
Don't snipe more a scout marksman role moving around the map. Still bolts are fun able to do the marksman role just need not to rush so much.
I don't abuse that long range so I used the other bolts. Long range sniping is boring to me.
M98B for me has no use
not a good way of getting me to help you saying you hate me!
If you see me online sure don't mind playing some of them maps. Need to do the PP19 challenges and some shotgun.

SV94 Or M40 are the best bolts for aggressive players. Not so much a long range sniper more a aggressive scout sniper. So when I use a recon kit it using a PDW or semi auto sniper over a bolt. However bolts are fun to use also provide some good moments.
