(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I have this 1k hp STI but, I guess it accelerates so quickly that it can't turn whatsoever. I don't know if the front keeps going up or what but, I've tried giving it 200 downforce, some weight in the front but, nothing seems to be working?

Try changing up the transmission settings or maybe increase the grip multiplier by just a little bit.

A couple of issues with this that may cause it:

1) Gear ratios are a bit too short so you end up changing gears more often. Though this would fix the acceleration issue, not particularly well suited for cornering issue. So making the gears taller (lower numbers) or extending the top speed should help.

2) Adding weight to front, not a particularly good idea. The idea of adding weight to the front is to mainly provide traction usually on straights but not so good for cornering. You might want to consider adjusting weight so that you get 50:50 distribution which should give you better cornering ability. You could also adjust it to a little more rear (but not too far back or too much weight in rear if it really throws more 40:60)

3) aerodynamics, LSD and suspension also plays important role in determining whether should the car allow more "play" when cornering or be stiff. The included help file for each of the three areas are very useful in finetuning the car and making sure that the car will allow you to steer more than to keep a straight line. I would say if the car was keeping a perfectly straight line, the setup might be good for drags however it doesn't fare well with other setups like cruise/drift. This applies to all drivetrains.

4) Centre differential. This mainly applies to 4WD/AWD cars (converted drivetrain or not), too much power going to front wheels induces understeer (as one would normally expect to see in a FF car) whereas more power going to rear allows somewhat better cornering (albeit too much can produce oversteer which might be ideal for drifting). Again the included help file for centre differential adjustment is very helpful I've found in explaining the effects and causes.

5) Last but not least, If all things you have tried above and the car fails to steer well then you probably have way too much power, in cases with that on 4WD/AWD I'd probably start looking at FR conversions for instance so that you can free the front wheels up from having to steer and pull the car. Though you mentioned you have 1k hp so cases like this shouldn't be necessary unless one goes beyond 5k (or so) hp.

Thank you! I'll try all of the stuff listed.
