You only get "banned" for participating in the seasonals with a modified car, Not always necessarily, But if you modified your car outrageously ITT: hp of more than the game would allow internally, or, a certain amount of hp higher than the original un-modified car in terms of maxed out performance parts/upgrade/breaking-in, certain drivetrain aspirations, like using a hybrid civic with RWD or AWD, then sure, they'll outright notice what you're doing, and they will ban you accordingly. Just use cars in the seasonals as the game originally intended, and you should be fine, or not, and get royally screwed.
It's all a matter of common-sense really. :evil:
