Post: How to get my DLC working with pal disc
05-29-2013, 09:50 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I kept my original game save at 2.11 and decided to buy a pal disc to be able to go online on version 2.12. It is working beautifully. Just to clarify I live in Canada and bought an Australian disc.

The problem is how do I get all of my DLC stuff with a different region disc as none of it shows up. I went to the PS store and purchased a dlc (as a test) that I already own and it still wont show up.

Not sure what would be the best way to do this. I understand there is a difference in the game file eg. BCUS versus BCES but I am sure there is a way I can get the dlc to work with my pal disc. I own every DLC and also have the family packs but it seems it is not compatible with the BCES/PAL game.

Is there a way to download european DLC so the key matches the game type or am I going the wrong way with this.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't own different region disc so I don't know about this BUT you could try this.

Make new PSN account "Australian" one.
Then download free dlc (examble corvette prototype).
Then go and see if that works.

I cant remember but when you make a new account does it ask you to pick a region. Sorry I cant remember as it's been a while since I have set up the accounts.

DLC content is region locked. So to use any you need an account with the region of the disc you got and get the DLC with that one.
Other accounts on that game will get the dlc stuff (without suits/helmets/colors) if you get the family upgrades.

Razerman you are correct.Happy I did exactly that and I can get all the free dlc but, I cannot buy any dlc as my credit card does not match the country that the disc is set up for.
Credit card is in Canada and disk region is Australia.

Just wanted to thank everyone on here razerman, Don-Wakita, ramanujan and more as you folks are always very helpful. If it wasn't for you guys I probably would have given up on this game and I have been playing sine GT1.

Cheers to all. Smile

Thanks a lot, happy to help out when possible. :y:

You could buy an Australian PSN card to top up the money on your Australian account.
Some shops mail the code.

And if the game is the same region as Europe (BCES game?), any eu psn card with the same country as you use on your ps3 account should also work. Eu country's have separate psn cards but they all are in euro's. But they only work for an account from that specific country.
If you than use the family packs in the store most dlc stuff can be used on all accounts.
Only not the dlc-colors and the dlc suits/helmets. They are only visible at the account that made the purchase.
