Thomas was Alone is a platformer that does a great job of story telling. The game itself is astoundingly simple. You begin in control of Thomas, a rectangle, with a narrator describing the events going on through his mind. As the game continues additional characters are added, all with their own personas. Although the gameplay is limited, it doesn't make it bland. It causes the use of all characters and their individual abilities. This game is a fantastic example of how good graphics aren't necessary to make a great game. Instead, all that is needed is a bit of charm and solid mechanics. By the end of the game, I actually connected with the characters more than other big launch title games.
Pros:
- Amazing storytelling
- A fun experience
Cons:
- Limited gameplay(takes about 3 hours to complete and maybe an additional if you desire 100%)
