Post: New to modding and have some questions

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello all, like the title says I am new to modding/ hybridding cars and I have a few questions that deal with garage editor 1.3 and 1.5a. I have hxd and bruteforce, but I got stuck at the beginning [figuring out my userID for bruteforce I got the consoleID easy enough)], so I'll work with those later when I have more time.

Now then, for 1.3:
- I have received several of the "hidden" performance tickets, and have only been able to install the weight, cat converter, and clutch: triple, and racing: super soft on the Audi R8 5.2 from the NCD. Once I did this I was able to go into practice mode and install parts including mid and high rpm turbo (which is new) but none of the other mods show up at all. The weight says it worked in the items, but the stats stay the same.
- What can actually be done as far as swaps/ hybrid parts since 2.14?

For 1.5a:
Do I have to enter info for all the sections for engine, etc? Or, if I just want to put a ctr2 engine in my mugen s2000 (which I did along with many other parts).

I have more, but I'll have to add them as I go. Thanks for all the info I have been able to find by going through a bunch of pages today, unfortunately I can't find exactly the answer I'm looking for.

Now I remember! For 1.5a, when I click 'close garage' I am prompted to go to straight to GT auto to apply modifications. How do I apply these modifications from gt auto?

The people who made that tool still haven't removed the stupid GT Auto thing? Wow.

Bro, just change into a different car, leave your garage, go back to your hybrid car and boom, it's done.

Edit: You did the FF -> 74 patch right? ...

lol. Will your app let me paint some of the normally unpaintable cars? Like making a black Ferrari 330 P4?
It's time to start reading through your thread again!

I figured it out after getting 30 pages into the 1.5a thread. All you have to do is car wash, oil change, and go to aero and test fit something. I've got to work out the HP multiplier though, as I made a NOMAD Diablo with 670-4 Body and (I forget the exact number) hp multiplier and the hp didn't multiply.

HP multiplier just plain doesn't work anymore.

I'm pretty sure it worked the first time I used it for a Mugen s2000 with Ruf CTR2 engine and SLS parts. I did a minor multiplier and with parts got it to ~700hp. It's a beast on Nurb GP/F. 1:55.xx without tuning.

Hi,

Yes you can still paint unpaintable cars with the editor. Just be aware, not every unpaintable car is actually paintable.
But the mentioned P330 should be no problem to paint it black.

There are a few ways to get the modification stick to the car, you can swap to another car and back.
You can also go to GT auto and do -something- there, you don't have to do all 3, washing would be enough if I'm right.

Good luck!

I figured it out, thanks. I even did the P330 in silver chrome just to see if it works, and it does. I've been using your 1.5 program to make all my hybrids. I just wish I could do a bit more with it, such as installing turbos (including st.4/5) on non-turbo cars. I tried using 1.3 and entering FFFFFFFF in the turbo box, but nothing seems to come of it.

Hey,

I suggest to upgrade to 1.6 for now and wait until the new version comes out which will have at least default turbos and superchargers.
I don't have the specs for all "upgraded" turbos and superchargers, so until I have those specs, it will not be included.

And good you managed to make some nice hybrids including a custom P330 Smile

Cheers

Luca
