Post: Is it possible to play Destiny alone?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I want to be able to play alone during exploration missions and such, but unfortunately the game doesn't allow you to do so as far as I can tell. People will randomly join your game and there are times when this is disruptive.

My question is if it is possible to use something similar to zone alarm to allow the necessary IP addresses to have Destiny function properly, and block all other IP addresses to prevent people from dropping into my game.

If you have any idea on how to set this up or any other possible solution, please let me know.

Don't think this would be possible as it's how the game works. You could try, but you'd need to find out which ip addresses needed to be blocked.

You can't the game is an open world. If you don't like that then you shouldn't have purchased the game.
You can do 1 of 2 things
1) ignore it
2) when you see them near you, just let them pass you then go again (will cause longer games)

I agree with what Citadel said, why bother getting the game if you're not going to share the field with everyone else. I don't understand why you said "there are times when this is disruptive".

  1. Enemies re-spawn after 10-15 seconds leaving enough for everyone.
  2. Other players can't kill you or spam your screen with a chat box which does not exist.
  3. There is no open mic in the game so the only audio should be in game audio or you're friends if you are chatting with them.
  4. Everyone gets their own loot so no one can steal yours.
  5. There are special battles/enemies during patrol which is more then difficult dealing with it yourself.
  6. During story mode when you enter a no re-spawn area the only people with you are teammates in your squad or just you by yourself.

There should be no reason why you can't play the game with some passerby. I mean it's not like they are going in your character face stalking you 24/7 dancing, pointing, sitting, or waving.
