Only players Level 20 and above can lead a Fireteam of six Guardians in the Iron Banner. Level advantages is enabled, this means that using your best gear and weapons is advisable.

To rank up there are bounties and xp gain from playing in the event. Using Iron Banner shader, class item, emblem and the buff boosts your xp gain. Iron banner is a great chance for all players to level above level 20. With ranking up in the Iron Banner player unlocks the chance to buy high level gear and weapons. This time Lord Saladin offers level 31 Cheast Armor and level 32 Gauntlets. If you don’t have a good Hand Cannon I suggest you start grinding for Iron Banner rank 5 as the Hand Cannon this time around looks really good.

i would really not recommend going on iron banner event, or any level advantages enabled crucible games if you're still just level 20 as it'll be hard to kill people, really easy to get killed, and will have some enemies with "??" level which u can do no damage on

Well I didn't really mean for level 20s to go in there either. Its more for those who struggle to get to 32 because they can't get all the gear they need. And the Hand Cannon is great!

is all about the hand cannon ... everything else is useless

Well some people might find the gauntlets useful... They have light 36. I myself don't really need them since I have full Raid gear on all characters. For me its for the Hand Cannon

Remember to reforge your Iron Banner weapons at Lord Saladin if you are not happy with the perks of your Iron banner weapons! I just rerolled my Timurs Lash
