My guess is it actually says more than one word (error) but it is a secret so you don't want anyone to know the whole error message. Do you have enough hard drive space to download and install the updates? (~3-4 Gb)

please write us the error number, might have to do with not having enough space, connection interruptions,...etc
if it's about the space then simply clear space for it.
If it's connection interruptions then i'd recommend downloading the update pkg on your pc then installing it on ur ps3 as u mentioned u use a cfw

^^ like they're saying you need to say what error code and what it say with the error
