(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Battlefield was a half baked sponge cake with no eggs, hardlined is a fully cooked sponge cake which is just a sponge cake.
Great concept poor execution for both games hardline fails due to the execution of the theme.
Battlefield 4 failed due to the overall execution of many elements of that game.
Hardline feels like a wasted opportunity to create a real spin off.

Cops Vs Robbers?
Both fractions feel the same, both play the same.
Feels like you’re having a private staged war between two paramilitary groups or private armies.
This is a major problem given how battlefield 4 was released not long ago and you want me to buy a game that only has a reskin with very little else to the theme?
Nice nods to the game theme with some great voice acting and sound choices. Core however is the same feels a bit like a sponge cake same old nothing new.
Heist is a good example you start out with ARs and anything else.
No setup or anything like what happens in Payday 2 until you reach a certain point.

Heist would be so much better if both sides started off with a pistol, as things got worse weapons crate opened up or you had to collect a weapons crate for your team. How about cops are walking around the building you have to sneak in kill a couple and to setup the heist.
Studio could have done some bold steps but right now feels like Rush meets capture the flag.
Hotwire looks cool but again why do I start off with ARs off the bat?
Why the hell do the police even have access to ARs to start with when going to sort out a car theft?

Unlock system

This has to be one of the best improvements to the sponge cake base, the unlock system is half kill based and half cash based. You earn cash you can unlock stuff after a certain number of kills. That a massive improvement over past titles ‘Please kill 500 people to unlock the scope you want’

Time to kill and networking
Not a fan of fast time to kills due to how studios have been networking which allows instant deaths to happen a lot. This game is rather frustrating due to using the same networking model as BF4. IF you want fast time to kills you need to speed up the tickrate and have harsh standards.

Map design
Based on what I seen so far the maps have zones in which certain guns shine and others suck.
Overall design is quite good with every platform having maps which sort of suit it. Studio has done quite a good job at scaling the overall game.

Conclusion
Theme is only skin deep, studio should been bold making the game play different. Unlock system is improved, kill times feel like cod/bf had a baby networking is sucky and always going to be sucky due to low kill times. Map design is decent.
Great concept poor execution better compared to Battlefield 4 but still feels to close to battlefield 4 to be worth the asking price.
Don’t get me wrong the game is still fun but feels like a wasted opportunity.

At least I can fight
This game is fun i like alot of the new little things in the game like being able to take ammo off of a team mate without needing them to drop a ammo pack i think the melee weapons are pretty cool to the money system i love the cops vs robbers theme is kinda poorly exec tbh it just doesn't really fit in with battlefield but it is a cool idea if it were done a bit better i think i might of liked it more but atm it just seems like game got reskined with a cops vs robbers theme so i only see this game as a reskin DLC from bf4 for now still like it though alot of fun Smile

It's still a Mystery!
I didn't really like the game, nor the concept...
I will be looking forward for the next real Battlefield, if it's going to be about WW2. I think we're all pissed and bored about these new futuristic and modern COD/BF with invented wars/guns...

Like the concept just execution is lacking.
In my eyes the game should focused on pistols and SMGs, with both sides starting off with pistols and working up the ladder.
Some great improvements when it comes to conquest the flag capture distance is way way way better.
Problem is modern shooters have been using modern maps, with modern guns which kill very fast with low recoil and now getting rather boring.

Would love to see EA release another BF 1943 which turns one or two elements of the game on it head.
Say low gravity or you can fly.

Hardline is a safe bet with little to no risk taken does pretty much everything very well.
My biggest problem with hardline has to be the combat with kill times they don't suit the map design at all.
