(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I need your help. I know that one can activate a PSN-account on 5 different consoles, but I can play the purchased games just on 2 of them. My question is the following:

Can I purchase CoD Ghosts from the store and play it on three different consoles with this method:

1. Buy it on my account and download / install the game.
2. Activate my account on the console of the first friend.
3. Download / install the game on his console.
4. Deactivate online from my computer ALL consoles that I have.
5. Reactivate my console.
6. Activate my account on the console of the second friend.
7. Download / install the game on his console.

It should be now possible for both of my friends to play the game, BUT my first friend has to pay attention to NOT go online with my account.

Does this method work?

kind regards,
sr50

no because as soon as you download/activate the game on 2 consoles the 3rd one won't be able to play the game neither online nor offline, the initial accounts number of consoles WAS 5, but then sony changed it back to 2, maybe because people joined and buy 1 game divided by 5 persons, so they could buy expensive games at low cost, i don't now, but now you can use your account on 2 PS3, 2 PS VITA's (i believe) and 1 PS4

The following user thanked Jackal_1980 for this useful post:

But what is if I deactivate a console and remain with this account offline ... how does the console know that the game I am using belongs to an other account which is deactivated (it doesn't know that it is deactivated because I am offline with this account)

lol it knows because in order for you to play the game you HAVE to activate the console, if you deactivate the console the game wont work Smile

He's right I already tried it before it says you have to activate in order for the game or content to work.

my friend and his cousin did this method, both downloaded fifa13, my bud then deactivated all by using the website from sony, his cousin kept his acc on his ps3 but didnt sign in, i then logged on and downloaded the game,
this method did once work as i did this on fifa 13 with a friend, he, his cousin and myself had his digital copy and it worked flawless, but if anything has changed on sonys part since then i wouldnt know sorry, guess all you can do is try

Do you think that I can activated free games also just 2 times? Then I could try it! Fifa13 or Fifa14?

im unsure, i no longer have access to a ps3, well one with psn, you could try, as long as the user stays on the ps3 but isnt signed into again on the deactivated console, i was led to believe it works, but once every 6month blows

Yes once in 6 months is very anoying, but if this method works, you can do this with different accounts Smile You don't have to use your own account to buy something ... you can just create a new account or use one of your friends Smile

again NO! EVERY game is only for 2 consoles use, you can't activate and the deactivate and use it in 3 different consoles... just read what the game description says when you buy it on PSN, those methods do not work.
