(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello guys,

I owned a PS3 Slim 3003B (320gb) and my friend had 2003A (120gb). He agreed with me to swap the PS3s.
I got his PS3 and swapped HDD so now I have 2003A with 320gb and he has 3003B with 120gb (He's okay with it)
the problem is, before swapping HDD blu ray worked on both consoles but after swapping them the 2003A does not read blu Ray discs, its fine with DVD but not blu ray.

When I insert the game it will attempt to spin (I can hear it trying) and then make ejecting sound but no disc comes out.

I swapped PS3s because I wanted to JB it and I cant go back to him since it worked before swap so if its hardware problem then its my fault (oh god please not be it).

Any ideas what to do? I cant play any games. Cant open the PS3 yet since I'm waiting for that T8 screwdriver.
I watched some videos about lifting one side but it didn't work. I've spent my money on flasher and I don't want to spend more on new blu ray driver/laser.

Oh and I forgot. every time when I go to recovery mode and try to restore file system it says the files are corrupted and it restores them. After that console restarts and still nothing.

isnt the laser sounds like the lever to detect the disks is out of place try not to shred any of the gears <3

* unless its not an "ejecting sound" and its when the drive drops the disk into the faster disk spin xD usually happens when the lense cant read the dis properly u can do a full inner and outer cleaning of the lense once u can get it open

Alright, I opened it up and there was small piece of dust on the laser. Got it cleaned and Blu ray drive works but now whole PS3 got fucked up. Thanks for the tip.

Well when taking PS3 apart i pulled my fan connector from motherboard ;/ once i got it soldered back the PS3 it worked so i placed it back in the case and it all went off. Once i turned it on after putting it into the case the fan started spinning like crazy for 10 sec and then PS3 turned off. Now nothing works except for green light once I turn it on but it turns itself off after 10sec
