What do i need to do to install the new hard drive? when i boot up with the new hard drive it says to install an update 2.70 or later.

Can i just install rebug 4.46 dex onto the new hard drive? Or what do i need to do?

I am having a similar problem, my ps3 was also on REBUG 4.46 REX converted to DEX, and one day decided to stop loading the XMB after the coldboot. Anyways, after putting in safe mode and trying options 2,3,4,5 and seeing nothing fix my problem. I decided to format the HDD and start fresh, only now it asks for firmware 1.97 or later. I've tried OFW 3.55, DEX OFW 3.55, REBUG 4.46 REX, REBUG 999 downgrader, and will all of them I'm told data is corrupted :S
Also when u try installing REBUG 4.46 Rex, it will accept the update and get to about 50% and crash, then u will be stuck in update loop and need to reformat error.
Sorry for rambling :/
